About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing site in Houston, Texas. This full-time position is on an evening/overnight shift and pays $16.50 per hour, paid weekly. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The role also involves customer service, incident response, and regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter. Work conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience.
• Clean driver's license with no flags or suspensions.
• Comfort using computers or tablets for gate access.
• Experience with badging and access control.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
