Security Officer Part Time Access Control Operations
About The Position
As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Twinsburg, Ohio, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations. The position is part of Allied Universal’s team, which emphasizes care, integrity, and teamwork. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.75 per hour. Employees can use the company’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The company also offers paid training and career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor and contractor logs.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, communicating promptly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Accurately document daily activities, access-control events, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
