About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access control operations at a logistics and distribution location in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The officer will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and maintain an orderly environment. Through a visible presence, routine patrols, clear communication, and customer service, the officer will help deter security-related incidents. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The position pays $18.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Verify credentials, authorize entry according to established procedures, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
Monitor vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery traffic at entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
