About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Milford, Delaware, you will safeguard a food and beverage production location by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and help deter unauthorized access while working as part of Allied Universal’s team.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
Monitor and control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying credentials, recording visitor and contractor information, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
Operate access-control systems, maintain accurate logs, issue and collect visitor credentials, and report access concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
