About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Ingleside, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including chemical and petrochemical. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role uses computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicates professionally with employees and visitors, and provides customer service.

This is a full-time position with a posted pay rate of $15.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM and Friday through Sunday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Verify authorized entry credentials, process visitors and contractors, maintain access logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas in accordance with chemical and petrochemical location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and use problem-solving skills while following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
