About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control at a logistics and distribution location in Theodore, Alabama, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional, secure environment. The position is part-time and pays $15.24 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and control entry and exit for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify unauthorized activity, unsecured doors, or other security concerns.
• Help maintain orderly traffic flow for trucks, trailers, and personal vehicles at entry and exit points, following site-specific procedures.
