About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Loss Prevention Observation at a retail location in Sunnyvale, Texas, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming experience for guests and team members. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, report observations, and contribute to access control and loss-prevention efforts. This is a part-time position scheduled Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, paying $18.54 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a professional, welcoming presence while supporting traffic flow, visitor assistance, and security-related operations during normal business hours and special events.
