About The Position

As a Security Officer Loss Prevention Detection in Los Angeles, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service and communication. The role calls for loss prevention awareness and a people-first approach. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
