About The Position

As a Security Officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you will safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms and security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication, using computer or tablet systems as needed.

The position is full-time and pays $20.60 per hour. The scheduled shifts run Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with alarm panels.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials according to site-specific procedures; maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events, notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Report hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management according to established procedures.
