About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to patrol an aerospace and defense location in Elk River, Minnesota. The driving post supports site security through visible patrols, access control, customer service, and response to security-related needs. The role involves representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, at a pay rate of $26.01 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and reporting access-control issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; contact appropriate site representatives and emergency services when required.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
