About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a driving patrol position at a retail and mall location in Irvine, California. The officer will safeguard clients and property by conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to incidents, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and staff. The position pays $21.50 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and clients while following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the retail property, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and assist with directing visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel according to site policies.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
