About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving as a Screening Procedure Associate at an automotive manufacturing location in Whitestown, Indiana, you will support access control by screening visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel, identify and report security concerns, and provide customer service. The role includes carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries according to site access-control procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of bags, packages, and vehicles while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
Monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help deter unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Complete accurate reports and shift documentation.
Provide outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with site personnel.
