About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Northampton, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. The role calls for strong customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. The position pays $18.44 per hour. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Additional shifts may be available through the company's Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, vehicle entrances, employee access points, trailer yards, and the business perimeter.
Monitor site access, verify authorized personnel and visitors as directed, and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
Support the orderly movement of people and vehicles around the facility.
Help deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
