About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Lutz, Florida. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and the site by maintaining a visible presence, conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, and responding to security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, calm problem-solving, and following site-specific policies and applicable laws. The listed schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, delivery locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific procedures.
