About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds professionally to security concerns while contributing to a people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

The position is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM. Pay is $24.00 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Industry-specific security training is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious persons, conditions, or activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, access-related activities, and other security observations.
