About The Position

As a Security Officer Emergency Readiness Patrol in Omaha, Nebraska, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide customer service, communicate with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $19.74 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
