Security Officer Part Time - Weekends
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed patrol security officer at an aerospace and defense location in Herndon, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control activities. You will provide customer service and clear communication while contributing to a team culture grounded in reliability, innovation, integrity, and collaboration. The scheduled shifts are Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The pay rate is $21.05 per hour. The role includes paid training and access to tools for viewing and claiming additional shifts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities in clear and accurate reports.
