About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an assigned site in Santa Clara, California. The role provides a fixed weekly daytime shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase their hours, potentially working up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed. The stated pay rate is $25.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding professionally to incidents and critical situations, conducting foot or vehicle patrols, monitoring access points and site activity, reporting concerns, and completing accurate activity and incident documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience with alarm panels.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, coordinating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific procedures.
