About The Position

The Security Officer serves and safeguards clients at a commercial real estate location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This part-time, unarmed patrol and badge-verification role involves maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, supporting access control, and providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors. The officer may use computer or tablet technology and follows site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The stated schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
