About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Watertown, New York. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly anchor shift. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The schedule lists Tuesday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site policies and healthcare privacy expectations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Accurately document patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
