About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol for an assigned government location in San Bernardino, California. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to full-time, up to 40 hours per week, depending on shifts claimed. The pay rate is $21.49 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Hold a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and emergency protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and public agency personnel as appropriate.
