About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Greenville, South Carolina, to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will help safeguard the client site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and calls for calm, collaborative responses to incidents. The stated schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries according to site-specific protocols.
Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
