About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Garner, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control and incident response, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and other stakeholders. The role is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at a rate of $18.36 per hour. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems.
• Report irregularities and maintenance concerns.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
