About The Position

As a Security Officer Incident Documentation in Portland, Tennessee, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. This unarmed security role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers and staff, report observations, and help support a welcoming environment.

The position is full time and pays $16.42 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Applicants must meet the listed age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized entry, and other policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to company and site requirements.
