About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a food and beverage manufacturing location in Kansas City, Missouri, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible security presence. The role involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture and helping deter security-related incidents. The position is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $18.91 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established security procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
