About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer and Screening Monitor in Miami, Florida, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location. You will screen personnel, visitors, packages, and shipments according to site procedures and applicable requirements; monitor access points; and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment. The role involves remaining alert to security concerns, communicating professionally, and providing customer service. Allied Universal describes a flexible schedule and a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and visitors in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas.
Report suspicious activity, policy violations, and irregularities to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter.
Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
