About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Control in Durham, North Carolina. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site through a designated weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, making it possible to increase hours up to 40 per week and scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $17.23 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Support emergency response activities and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
