About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Access Control Officer for a financial institution location in Ashburn, Virginia. The role supports a welcoming, professional environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, responding to access-related concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Alarm panel experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage visitor entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
Maintain accurate logs and written reports regarding visitor activity, access-related incidents, patrol observations, and shift handoffs.
