About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to monitor access systems at a healthcare location in Lumberton, New Jersey. The officer helps maintain a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, responding to alarm panel activity, conducting patrols, and providing customer service and communication. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and pays $19.66 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization and credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, and promptly communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report access-control concerns, unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance issues through established reporting procedures.
