Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Risk Assessment
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location in San Francisco, California, you will help safeguard clients and provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. The role is guided by Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity. The position pays $29.00 per hour. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
- Monitor access points and assist with access control for authorized personnel, vendors, deliveries, and contractors.
- Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
