About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare rehabilitation setting in Irmo, South Carolina. The role helps safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by providing customer service, maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and responding to security-related needs. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, communicating with site personnel or emergency responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining an orderly environment.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with company and site reporting procedures.
