About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol duties at a healthcare facility in Fairlawn, Ohio. The position offers a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role may provide opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and orderly movement in public and restricted areas.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
