About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to safeguard a food and beverage location in Salinas, California. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, following site procedures, responding to incidents and alarms, communicating clearly, and documenting observations and activities using computer or tablet technology. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.90 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred, subject to applicable state and local licensing requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout food production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures and help deter unauthorized access.
Observe and report potential hazards, unusual activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
