About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol officer for an aerospace and defense location in Rochester, New York. The officer will help safeguard personnel and operations by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, perimeter areas, access points, parking areas, and other assigned locations; report unusual conditions or policy violations.
Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Prepare accurate activity reports and incident documentation, while remaining aware of sensitive areas and restricted-property requirements.
