About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an Amazon Warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, monitoring access points and alarm systems, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service, and use technology to document activity. The position serves employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic according to site procedures; document and report access concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
