About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer for crime prevention at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and clients. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and pays $17.00 per hour.

The role involves following site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The officer will communicate professionally and help maintain a welcoming environment. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required under applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, loading areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
• Maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift activity records.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report maintenance concerns, access issues, security hazards, and suspicious conditions to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
