About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communications for an assigned commercial real estate site in Montgomery, Alabama. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary as additional shifts are claimed, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed shift is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $16.30 per hour.

The officer provides customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring property access, reporting and documenting unusual activity, and assisting visitors and tenants. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate location while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the property, observe and report unusual conditions or suspicious activity, and document incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with visitor directions and tenant requests, and communicate with property management and/or emergency responders as needed.
