About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed mobile driver security officer for a retail location in Houston, Texas. The officer will help safeguard the client by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, and Friday and Sunday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Pay is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store team members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, exterior walkways, and parking areas.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established post orders.
Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, and report observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrols, and notable observations in accordance with site requirements.
