Security Officer Overnight Hours - Event Center
About The Position
As a Security Officer at an event center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you will serve and safeguard clients in settings such as hotels and resorts. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to guests and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and putting people first. This is a full-time position paying $19.80 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, event spaces, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
- Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
- Complete required activity reports and communicate professionally with hotel staff, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.
