Security Officer Part Time Patrol Inspection
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to conduct patrol inspections at a retail location in Byram, Mississippi. The officer will help safeguard clients and maintain a welcoming environment by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, assisting shoppers, visitors, and team members, and communicating and reporting security-related observations. The role is scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:59 PM to 8:00 AM, at a pay rate of $13.50 per hour. The position includes access to Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Employment is subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate with store management, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
