About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a government location in Smyrna, Delaware. The officer will provide customer service, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and report concerns. The role requires integrity, reliability, and a teamwork mindset. The stated pay rate is $17.34 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies at government facilities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications according to site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
