About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driver for a utility operations location in Fairfax, Virginia. The officer will conduct vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and contribute to a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and following site-specific procedures and security policies. The position pays $18.22 per hour and is scheduled Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
