About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Unarmed Patrol Route Auditor for an assigned public transportation location in Hollis, New York. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the schedule to increase to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $20.20–$21.20 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security policies at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned stations, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized entry and support orderly movement throughout the location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
