About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Newburyport, Massachusetts, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. This is an unarmed patrol role responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security concerns with integrity. The position is full-time and pays $24.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when assigned, and report access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following post orders and escalation procedures.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
