About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in De Soto, Kansas, you will help safeguard the client by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. The role emphasizes customer service, security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations prior to employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management and access-control processes.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and local responders as needed.
