About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Hagerstown, Maryland. The officer will serve clients in distribution, retail, and other locations by maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, reporting concerns, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.57 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, suspicious activity, access concerns, and critical situations in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading areas, receiving and shipping zones, retail spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document observations, incidents, and required reports.
• Report hazards, damaged property, policy violations, and unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
