About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Grove City, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard clients, employees, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, following site-specific security procedures, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role involves regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting. The listed pay rate is $17.98 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, package-handling disruptions, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, trailer yard, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
