About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guard in Vandalia, Ohio. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site on a designated weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, offering the option to increase hours and work across multiple sites. The role can provide opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $17.51 per hour, paid weekly. The scheduled shift is Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals.
• Screen and document incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and shipments according to site procedures, and report irregularities.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
