About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator in Garner, North Carolina. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week depending on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $18.36 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies as appropriate, and conducting regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
