About The Position
Security Officers help maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, inspecting security and fire exposures, completing reports, and responding to alarms and emergencies. Candidates should be alert, reliable, customer-focused, and able to remain calm and communicate professionally in changing or stressful situations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience
- State Guard license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Vigilance, discipline, and observance
- Clear and professional communication
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations
- Reliability and customer-service orientation
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
Responsibilities
